Elyn Neilson
About Elyn
My HCP expertise is based on always making sure I understand the science driving a brand and applying that knowledge to my creative and strategic experience. From prelaunch disease state through to launch and all stages of a product life-cycle, I’ve worked on US and international launches for cardiology, oncology, asthma, and CNS. I’m flexible and at ease collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and, I always enjoy collegial relationships with Clients and agency teams.
My DTC experience includes pediatric health and nutrition, IBS and Crohn’s disease, chronic pain, migraine, women’s health, cancers, skin care and lifestyle brands. Additionally, I got to ‘ghost write’ articles including a featured piece in MM&M on the dynamics of Agency–Client partnerships.
I'm inspired by the elegant, early campaigns of Absolut Vodka and BMW, right through to today's creative, intelligent, "Sick Beats" vest for kids with cystic fibrosis, and the haunting, life-changing power of pets in the VFX/Animation Spot "The Bridge"
More about me…
I grew up on Long Island where most summers were spent swimming, and sailing with my siblings and cousins. That’s when I began to appreciate the importance of preserving and protecting the beaches, waters, and wildlife. My family are lawyers, doctors, and a couple of diplomats, (who bring a bit of excitement to the clan). With that background and a major in comparative literature, it seemed logical and kind of lucky for me to have landed safely in healthcare marketing.
